Membership Info

Corporate, Start-up Organization, Individual and Reciprocal memberships are available through AIC. The Agri-Food Innovation Council supports its membership – scientists and other professionals – who share science-based objectives to protect the agri-based resource and to improve its capacity to serve Canadians and the world. AIC helps members profitably invest their intellectual capital to satisfy business, consumer and societal demands of contemporary agriculture (e.g. from improving yields to discovering and extracting new value streams from agri-based products.)

As an Individual, AIC membership offers:

Your support through Individual AIC Membership enables us to be a strong voice for agricultural research in Canada and helps us support our efforts to advocate for a strong and persuasive research model.

  • Member who provide services as a professional agrologist or who are certified crop advisors have access to preferred rates for professional and commercial general liability insurance.
  • News, views, events, and legislative activities though AIC Weekly Notes

A corporate membership allows your business or association to be informed, have a say and participate in events that are shaping the future of agricultural research in Canada. Most importantly, it allows you to support the only organization in Canada that is dedicated to promoting and advocating on behalf of agricultural research.

  • Through your designated representative, your business or association will be consulted when AIC takes a stand on an issue, prepares a policy document, etc.
  • Preferred rate for AIC events? including as an exhibitor at our conference and to participate in our annual policy event

  • Free copies of policy papers prepared and distributed by AIC

As a Start-up Organization, AIC membership benefits include:

Start-up Organizations membership allows your business to be informed, have a say and participate in events that are shaping the future of agricultural research in Canada. Most importantly, it allows you to support the only organization in Canada that is dedicated to promoting and advocating on behalf of agricultural research. (Organizations that have been incorporated for five years or less and not as a result of a merger are eligible to apply for this membership category).

  • Through your designated representative, your business or association will be consulted when AIC takes a stand on an issue, prepares a policy document, etc.
  • Preferred rate for AIC events? including as an exhibitor at our conference and to participate in our annual policy event

Reciprocal membership with other organizations:

AIC may look at reciprocal memberships with other organizations provided that:

  • Their aim includes furthering the interests of the agri-food sector, although their primary focus lies outside of the scope of research and innovation, and
  • That the exchange of services could reasonably be expected to advance AIC’s interests

Organizations interested in reciprocal membership with AIC should complete an application form. Please be advised that reciprocal membership is not automatically accepted as it must be reviewed by the AIC Membership Committee.

Membership Fees

Corporate, Start-up organization, Individual and Reciprocal memberships are available through AIC.

Corporate Member – $1,000.00 + applicable taxes

Start-up Organization Member – $250.00 + applicable taxes

Individual Member – $100.00 + applicable taxes

Reciprocal Membership – Free of charge

AIC Membership dues are payable annually.
