Innovation and an adoption framework will help create a vision on accelerating digitization and help resolve hurdles that currently exist to build a supportive policy.
Some of the hurdles that need to be resolved are:
- Rural connectivity: Rural operations need reliable connectivity to accelerate sustainable ag as the technology develops
- Supply chain: A coordinated approach is needed among the industry to drive change across the supply chain and move forward together
There is no doubt that agtech accelerates sustainability, supports increased food production, and increased food safety. Canada needs to develop an innovation and adoption framework to support the acceleration of agtech implementation.
