AIC is excited to announce some of the speakers you will hear from at AIC 2016: Disseminating Agricultural Research

AIC 2016 brings together agricultural research stakeholders from across the Canadian agriculture sector and promises to stimulate lively debate on topics ranging from intellectual property protection, to modern research extension strategies, and maximizing technology transfer to industry stakeholders.

Some speaker highlights include:

Joining the panel to discuss dissemination strategies and policies are:
Drew Black, Director of Environment and Science Policy with the Canadian Federation of Agriculture
Tracy Herbert, Beef Extension Coordinator with the Beef Cattle Research Council
Dr. Andreas Boecker, Associate Professor at the University of Guelph.

Gabrielle Bauer, award-winning writer will join the panel discussing how the bridge the gap between research and the public.

Michael Toombs, Director of the Research and Innovation Branch of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) and General Manager of the Agricultural Research Institute of Ontario will join the panel discussing models of extension in the 21st century.

Dr. Bronwynne Wilton, Consulting Project Lead with Synthesis Agri-Food Network will join the panel discussing maximizing technological transfer.

Lana Culley, Director of Business Development with Vineland Research and Innovation Centre will join the panel discussing IP management in inter-disciplinary and cross-sectoral partnerships.
